Job Description

Are you completing (or have you recently completed) a degree that relates to working with children, young people, or education? If you’ve studied Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Counselling, Social Sciences, English, Maths, Drama, Fine Art or another subject where you’ve gained transferable skills for supporting children’s learning and development, this is a fantastic opportunity to put your knowledge into practice in the classroom. We’re working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across North Manchester who are looking for passionate graduates to join them this September as support staff. These roles are a great first step if you’re considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, SEND support, youth work, or mentoring. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting pupils in class, in small groups, or on a 1:1 basis Helping with literacy, numeracy, play-based and creative activities Providing additional support to children with SEND or other learning needs (full training provided) Building positive relationships to encourage confidence, independence, and engagement Gaining invaluable school-based experience ahead of teacher training or further study What We’re Looking For A degree (2:2 or above) in a relevant or transferable subject (Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, Counselling, Social Sciences, English, Maths, Arts etc.) A genuine passion for working with children and young people A proactive, patient, and reliable approach to learning and behaviour support Experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, volunteering, youth groups, holiday camps) is helpful but not essential What You’ll Get in Return Competitive daily pay (paid weekly) 5 FREE CPD courses when you register (including SEND and classroom behaviour management) Flexible work options across different year groups and school types A dedicated consultant to support you every step of the way Experience that strengthens applications for PGCE, psychology routes, teacher training or SEND pathways Interested?
