Join a dynamic team as a Credit Controller and play a crucial role in ensuring timely cash collection while minimising bad debts. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service and help achieve financial targets.
What You Will Do
* Manage a portfolio of customers to ensure payments are made according to agreed terms.
* Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
* Handle a high volume of customer interactions via telephone.
* Maintain accurate customer records to prevent delays in invoice and statement receipts.
* Update the accounts receivable system, Credit Hound, with all collection activities.
* Process card payments and issue electronic direct debit mandates.
* Issue copy invoices to customers as needed.
* Build rapport with customers to foster positive relationships.
* Handle statement reconciliations and prepare WIP statements for effective communication.
* Escalate any concerning issues to the Credit Control Team Leader.
* Manage queries through the query management system.
What You Bring
* Minimum two years’ experience in credit control handling a high volume of transactions.
* Experience with statement reconciliations and online customer transactions.
* Proven track record of achieving cash collection targets and reducing aged debt.
* High level of written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
* Experience with conflict resolution and an assertive telephone manner.
* Familiarity with end-to-end credit control processes.
* Experience with SAGE, SAGE CRM, AMCS, or Credit Hound is desirable.
What Would Make You Stand Out
* ICM Level 3 certification is desirable.
* Previous customer service experience is a plus.
