The Role
This position is based at the company’s head office in West Yorkshire, joining a friendly and supportive Finance team. The Credit Controller will take ownership of a portfolio of B2B customer accounts, ensuring timely payment collection and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a portfolio of B2B retail and wholesale accounts
Chasing overdue payments and resolving queries promptly and professionally
Reconciling accounts and ensuring accurate, up-to-date records
Working closely with Sales, Logistics, and Finance teams to resolve disputes
Producing aged debt reports and assisting with month-end
Identifying ways to improve credit control processes and reporting
About You
You’ll be a confident communicator with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach. You should be comfortable working in a busy, customer-led environment and able to take ownership of your workload.
Ideal experience:
At least 2 years’ experience in credit control or accounts receivable
Experience within retail or consumer goods (preferred but not essential)
Strong Excel and ERP system skills (Sage or similar desirable)
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
High accuracy and strong organisational skills
What’s on Offer
Competitive salary: £26,000 – £28,000 (depending on experience)
Full-time, office-based role: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
