Credit Controller
We are working with an established and growing commercial property management and investment firm based in Central London. They are now seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with at least two years of experience in credit control, ideally within the property sector, who is looking to grow within a professional and collaborative environment. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with three days a week in the office and the remainder working remotely.
About the Role:
As Credit Controller, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the timely collection of outstanding payments across a commercial property portfolio. You'll be working closely with property managers, tenants, and the wider finance team to manage arrears, handle tenant queries, and maintain strong cash flow.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the credit control process across a portfolio of commercial properties
* Chase overdue rents and service charges via phone and email
* Liaise with tenants to resolve payment issues and queries
* Maintain accurate records of all communications and payments
* Issue statements and arrears reports to property managers and senior management
* Support with legal recovery processes where required
* Work closely with the accounts and property management teams to ensure smooth coordination
Requirements:
* At least 2 years’ experience in a credit control role, preferably in the property sector
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Proactive, organised, and confident in managing tenant relationships
* Experience with property accounting software such as MRI Qube is advantageous
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Salary & Benefits:
* £30,000 – £35,000 depending on experience
* Hybrid working: 3 days in the Central London office, 2 days remote
