Credit Controller – Permanent Role 📍 Office-Based | £30,000 | Full-Time | Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5:00pm Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for your next opportunity? We’re looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our Credit Control Department in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role is office-based, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday (8:30 am–5:00 pm), with a competitive salary of £30,000. About te Role As a Credit Controller, you'll be responsible for managing credit risk, ensuring the timely collection of payments, resolving account queries, and supporting overall financial health through effective credit control practices. This role involves handling both B2B and consumer accounts. Key Responsibilities * Proactive collection of B2B payments via telephone, email, and formal reminders. * Maintain accurate records of all actions and communications within the D365 system. * Meet cash collection targets to reduce outstanding debt. * Reconcile accounts, ensuring statements are accurate and payments are applied correctly. * Investigate and resolve invoice queries or disputes in a timely and professional manner. * Build strong relationships with clients, delivering excellent customer service. * Identify problem accounts and recommend further action, such as credit holds or legal escalation. * Assess and manage credit limits for new and existing customers. * Monitor credit risk and escalate significant concerns to senior management. * Participate in consumer debt collection activities and maintain quality standards. * Support with general AR tasks and ad hoc finance projects as required. What We’re Looking For * Degree-level education (preferred) * Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade D or above * Experience within the utilities sector is advantageous * Previous office experience with a strong data analysis background * High level of accuracy and attention to detail * Strong organisational and communication skills (both written and verbal) * Good numerical ability * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Interviews Face-to-face interviews will be held on 29th and 30th July.
