Job Description
Axon Moore are delighted to be recruiting for two brand new Credit Control roles with a leading business based in North Manchester! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established credit team, working under an experienced Credit Manager in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maximising cash collections within agreed payment terms, improving and maintaining Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and assessing credit risks to support the financial health of the business. There are some complex ledgers so we’re looking for people with strong excel skills, proactive with a good background in credit control.
What You’ll Get:
£28K initial base salary
Quarterly bonus – up to £250/month for hitting targets
Hybrid working – 3 days in office (Chadderton, Oldham) 2 from home

Main Duties
Take ownership of a customer portfolio, ensuring prompt payment and effective debt management.
Contact customers regularly (primarily by phone) to resolve queries and secure payments.
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly cash collection targets; reduce overdue debt (30+ days).
Resolve invoice, PO, and POD issues quickly to prevent payment delays.
Reconcile accounts accurately, managing write-offs, unallocated cash, and duplicates.
Build strong, professional relationships with internal teams and external clients.
Follow escalation processes and attend key customer meetings with sales/invoicing teams.
Maintain up-to-date and detailed collection notes in Navision.
Provide the Credit Manager with updates on payment promises and unresolved debt.
Support continuous improvement by contributing ideas and process suggestions.
Undertake ad hoc duties as required.
Person Specification:
2+ years’ experience in B2B credit control within a fast-paced environment.
Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills.
Clear, confident communicator at all levels—both verbal and written.
Collaborative team player with a professional, customer-focused approach.
Resilient under pressure, with strong problem-solving ability and initiative.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
