Job Description
Are you an experienced Credit Controller looking for a new opportunity in a growing, values-led business? We are recruiting on behalf of a forward-thinking organisation based in Walsall, seeking a confident and motivated individual to join their finance team.
This role is being offered on a temp-to-perm basis and will become permanent following a successful initial period.
About the Role:
As Credit Controller, you’ll play a key role in managing the company’s receivables and aged debtors. You’ll be the main point of contact for customer payment queries and responsible for reducing overdue balances through proactive credit control and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:

Proactively chase outstanding payments to meet monthly credit control targets

Act as the primary point of contact for customer payment queries
*
Issue debtor statements in line with customer credit terms
*
Maintain and process contra accounts and journals
*
Plan and execute BACS, card, and other electronic payments
*
Resolve customer queries via phone and email professionally and efficiently
*
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all receivables activities
*
Support with month-end reconciliations and reporting
*
Cover the Receivables Lead when required
*
Carry out other ad-hoc finance duties as necessary
What We’re Looking For:

Experience using NetSuite is essential
*
Previous experience in a fast-paced finance or credit control environment
*
AAT qualified (or studying), or QBE considered
*
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (intermediate level preferred)
*
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
*
Ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
*
GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A*-C or equivalent)
