Our client is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. They are recruiting a electrical bias Engineer to join the team in London.
The Critical Services Shift Technician will be joining our dynamic team supporting a major refurbishment at premises located on Shoe Lane. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a critical phase in the project, witnessing the commissioning process and contributing to the building’s mobilization.

Role Responsibilities of a Critical Services Shift Technician:
To ensure that all Health and Safety and PTW systems are administered correctly.
Maintaining and keeping the buildings electrical systems along with all associated component parts in excellent working repair.
Routine tests, checks and record keeping for all the buildings systems through traditional methods and use of building analytics and predictive maintenance techniques.
Maintain electrical systems and all records to the highest standard.
Undertake regular walk-rounds of Customer areas and plant rooms to note and rectify any defects and to maintain in a clean, tidy and safe environment.
Liaise and arrange sub-contractor support and effectively manage and control all sub-contractors.
To monitor the buildings environmental temperature, humidity, and space conditions and ensuring that they are maintained in accordance with the business requirement for comfortable working conditions within the office environment using systems within the IFN [Integrated Facilities Network].
To monitor and adjust as deemed necessary systems within the IFN (BMS, lighting, metering).
Provide innovative solutions to improve building, plant and system energy efficiency.
Manage, rectify and record defects through the Customer reporting system, working with and leading a team to ensure all are rectified within SLA timeframes.
Engagement and updating the client and Customer stakeholders on all issues and progress.
They must be flexible in their attitude to work from both a skills diversification and a willingness to work overtime of out of their NWH standpoint.
Provide out of hours emergency call out/escalation on a pre-determined rota.
Use the clients Log Book System to store all records and certification for the site.
Manage defects to completion; including full investigation, sourcing materials, provision of quotes, raising of purchase orders and arrangement of rectification.
NOTE: Candidates will be expected to work Monday – Friday for an interim period when commencing for site familiarisation, training and induction before moving over to shift.

Skills:
Essential-
Good technical & fault-finding skills
Educated to a minimum of City & Guilds in Electrical (or HNC)
Excellent administrative skills
Computer literate
Highly conversant in Microsoft Office suite
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Procedure writing
Desirable-
Apprenticeship (or equivalent programme in Electrical Installation).
Report writing
Knowledge:
Essential-
Excellent knowledge of the operation of Electrical Services
Ability to interrogate and operate BMS systems
Knowledge of business-critical services i.e., UPS, Generators and Comms Rooms etc
Desirable-
18th Edition IEE regs
HV Trained
