Job Description

Culture and Events Development Officer £17.79 per hour 37 hours per week - must be available to work Monday - Wednesday and Saturday & Sunday Temporary - until end of September Central Bristol - fully office based Tate are working with a local authority in their search for a Culture and Events Development Officer on a temporary basis. Responsibilities: Develop and deliver a range of markets and other cultural activities to support a local market. Work with individuals, culture and event organisations, businesses and other high street stakeholders to animate and generate footfall at the market. Support the development of the city's recovery plans to re-animate the city centre and high streets, providing opportunities for everyone to participate. Provide professional guidance, advice, advocacy and support to individuals, groups and organisations to enable the delivery of cultural activities and events. Monitoring and reporting of funding allocations and projects You will be responsible for ensuring that the culture and event activities developed meet the following aims: Create local distinctiveness and activate and animate the selected high streets through a programme of activities Deliver cultural projects or events that are inclusive, diverse, and easy to access that celebrate and engage with communities, businesses and stakeholders. Invest in the culture and events sector. Embed environmental sustainability and climate and ecological emergency priorities, raising awareness and addressing priorities through the proposed projects and activities.
