Overview:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious Geography specialist to take the next step in their career as Curriculum Leader of Geography at a thriving secondary school in Wolverhampton. We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner with leadership potential and a clear vision for Geography education.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Geography curriculum across all key stages, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

Develop and implement a strategic vision for the subject area aligned with the school’s wider objectives.
*
Line-manage and support the professional development of Geography staff within the department.
*
Monitor student progress and use data to drive improvements in attainment and achievement.
*
Lead on the development of schemes of work, assessment strategies, and enrichment opportunities in Geography.
*
Work closely with SLT and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in Geography.
*
Proven success as a Geography teacher, with evidence of strong outcomes.
*
Experience in curriculum planning and leading initiatives to improve teaching and learning.
*
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and support others.
*
A commitment to raising student achievement and continuous school improvement.
