Customer Service Administrator
Location: Ashbourne, Derbyshire
Contract: Temporary, 3–6 months
Hours: Full-time – 40 hours per week - days
Salary: £12.75 per hour
About the Role
We’re looking for an organised and proactive Customer Service Administrator to join our client’s manufacturing business on a temporary 3–6 month contract. This is a key support role during our busiest time of year, helping to ensure that their customers and production teams receive a seamless service.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, managing orders, handling customer enquiries, and supporting the wider operations team — so resilience, accuracy, and a calm approach under pressure are essential.
Key Responsibilities
  * Handling inbound customer calls and providing professional, timely support
  * Managing and responding to queries from a shared email inbox
  * Processing sales orders accurately and ensuring production teams are updated
  * Preparing and issuing invoices for third-party suppliers
  * Liaising with internal departments such as production, dispatch, and accounts
  * Assisting the wider customer service and administration team where required
About You
  * Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  * Excellent communication skills with a professional telephone manner
  * Strong attention to detail and accuracy when processing data and orders
  * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with ERP or CRM systems desirable
  * Resilient, adaptable, and able to work effectively during busy periods
