Job Description

Our public sector client based in Sunderland, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Service Advocate to join their team as soon as possible! The role will be a temporary contract, lasting until the end of March 2026 initially. The hours of work will be 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of £13.26 per hour. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for a wide range of incoming calls from residents, providing clear, helpful and compassionate support across various council services. Duties of the role will include:- · Handling a variety of incoming enquiries from residents across Sunderland · Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism and empathy · Provide accurate information and resolve queries efficiently · Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience · Logging information accurately on the system and daily office administration tasks We are looking for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, a calm and patient approach to problem solving and the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer focused environment. Previous experience in a contact centre or customer service role is desirable.
