Customer Service Call Handler
Location: Rotherwas, Hereford (5 days on site)
Contract: 6-month temporary contract – ending 31st May
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Randstad Sourceright are recruiting on behalf of Balfour Beatty, a leading infrastructure and services business, for a Customer Service Call Handler to join their Public Realm contract team in Hereford.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle inbound calls from members of the public and internal stakeholders.
* Log and triage reports related to highways and public realm issues, such as flooding, potholes, graffiti, street lighting, and environmental concerns.
* Liaise with operational teams, inspectors, and project managers to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
* Provide clear, timely updates and maintain a professional and helpful approach.
* Support the wider customer service team with varied day-to-day queries and admin tasks.
Candidate Profile
* Previous experience in a customer service or call handling role.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to remain calm and professional under pressure and when dealing with difficult or frustrated callers.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to record information accurately.
* Confident using computer systems and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
