Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and professional Customer Service Operative to join our Customer Care team. The role will involve carrying out remedial works, defect resolution, and aftercare across multiple residential developments in Surrey and Sussex, ensuring all homeowners receive a first-class customer experience. Key Responsibilities * Attend customer properties to complete defect and remedial works promptly and to a high standard. * Diagnose issues and carry out basic multi-trade tasks (carpentry, plumbing, plastering, decorating, etc.). * Liaise with the Customer Service team to arrange appointments and update progress. * Maintain accurate records of work carried out using the company’s reporting systems. * Represent the company professionally in customers’ homes, ensuring excellent communication and service. * Escalate complex issues to subcontractors or the technical team where necessary. * Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements on-site and within occupied homes. * Support the wider Customer Service department in delivering customer satisfaction targets. Skills & Experience * Proven experience in a customer service, aftercare, or operative role within housebuilding, construction, or property maintenance. * Good all-round knowledge of building trades with ability to complete multi-trade tasks to a high standard. * Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. * Excellent communication and customer-facing skills. * Full UK driving licence (company vehicle will be provided). * Flexibility to travel across Surrey & Sussex developments as required.
