Job Description

Customer Service Specialist Barnstaple Permanent Role Summary We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to support the effective management of customer orders, strategic accounts, and key customer experience activities. The Customer Service Specialist will play an important role in managing ticket processes, communicating with stakeholders, tracking strategic orders, and helping to improve the service delivered to key accounts. This Customer Service Specialist position would suit someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ambition to develop into a leadership role within 2–3 years. Role & Responsibilities: Manage the ticket process to support on-time delivery of customer orders. Liaise with stakeholders and communicate all relevant activities related to managed accounts, escalating as required. Ensure strategic orders and travel packs are processed, with orders acknowledged quickly. Monitor strategic order progress and communicate updates to stakeholders. Provide reports on strategic order progress. Actively identify ways in which service to strategic accounts can be improved. Take ownership of key customer experience initiatives. Requirements Of The Role: Experience working as a Customer Service Specialist or similar Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Empathetic and customer-focused personality. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Effective time management and task prioritisation skills. High attention to detail. Process-driven approach. Ability to balance customer requirements with the needs of the business. Preferred knowledge of SAP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
