Customer Service Specialist - Italian Speaking - Sheffield – £28,000–£30,000

Chase & Holland are proud to be working with a global manufacturing and distribution business in the Sheffield area who are currently seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join their established and supportive team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced customer service professional to join a successful international business, supporting customers across the order process while working closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of service is consistently delivered.
The successful candidate will ideally bring Italian language skills alongside previous customer service experience. Experience working within an export environment, particularly with customers across the Middle East, would also be highly desirable. The business is open to considering candidates with either strong Italian language skills or relevant export/customer service experience, with the ideal candidate bringing both.

Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities:

Managing customer orders received via email, telephone and electronic communication, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently
Entering and adjusting customer orders within the ERP system and ensuring all orders are processed within the required cut-off times
Handling customer queries, resolving issues within agreed levels of authority and escalating more complex matters where appropriate
Supporting customers throughout the order process, providing clear and professional communication and maintaining strong customer relationships
Coordinating with internal departments including shipping, production, inventory and sales to ensure customer requirements are met
Reviewing orders, shipments, plant schedules, inventory levels and other relevant information to support effective customer service delivery
Preparing and reviewing correspondence and documentation relating to customer interactions
Supporting export activity and working with customers and relevant internal teams across international markets
Developing a strong understanding of customer requirements and ensuring these are communicated effectively across the business
Building positive working relationships with internal departments and external customers to ensure the best possible service is delivered
Providing support and cover within the team when required, including during periods of annual leave
Following established processes and work instructions while identifying opportunities to improve customer service activities
Carrying out any other duties as reasonably required by management
Required Skills & Experience:

Previous experience within a customer service, sales administration, order management or similar role
Italian language skills are highly desirable/essential for the Italian-speaking requirement
Experience within an export or international customer service environment would be advantageous
Knowledge or experience of working with customers across the Middle East would be particularly beneficial
Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to deal confidently with internal and external stakeholders
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to process customer orders accurately
Confident using Microsoft Office and able to adapt quickly to new systems
Previous experience working with an ERP system such as SAP, SAGE or Oracle would be advantageous
A proactive and positive approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
