About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Customer Side Leakage Technician to join their field-based operations team, working on the Affinity Water contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and repairing water leaks on customer properties (supply pipes and associated infrastructure), ensuring high-quality workmanship, excellent customer service, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate and locate customer side water leaks using specialist detection equipment.
* Carry out repairs to underground supply pipes and associated fittings.
* Replace pipework where required, ensuring all works are completed to the highest standard.
* Deliver excellent customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with homeowners and businesses.
* Maintain accurate job records and report findings through handheld devices or job sheets.
* Work independently and manage daily workload efficiently.
* Ensure adherence to health & safety policies and environmental best practices at all times.
Requirements
* Previous experience in leakage detection, water supply pipe repairs, or similar field-based utilities role (preferred but not essential – training will be provided).
* Knowledge of plumbing, excavation, or reinstatement works would be advantageous.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
