Customs Operations Manager
Salary: up to £65,000

Are you an experienced Customs Clearance professional looking for a new leadership opportunity in a modern, fast-paced environment? A well-established and highly respected freight and customs business, based in Dover, is seeking a Customs Operations Manager to help drive the next stage of its growth.
With a strong presence in the UK and across Europe, this company plays a key role in the logistics chain for major international freight forwarders and a wide variety of UK importers and exporters.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and mentor a team of customs clearance professionals.
Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Take ownership of P&L and performance targets.
Resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
Enhance business processes and drive improvements.
Manage key client relationships and develop new business opportunities.
Prepare and calculate quotations for services.
Oversee compliance and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to facilities and office management.
Participate in weekly operations, sales, and management meetings.
Experience:
Proven leadership and staff management skills.
Hands-on operational experience with strong commercial acumen.
Skills:
Strong communicator - both written and verbal.
Organised, detail-focused, and calm under pressure.
Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Customer-focused with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
