Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated and experienced Registered Manager with a Level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care to lead and oversee the daily operations of a busy Nursing Home.
Must have experience using Care Planning System (PCS)
This is a critical leadership position focused on delivering exceptional, person-centred care while ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a safe, supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Leadership & Operational Oversight
Take full responsibility for the effective day-to-day running of the care facility, including staff management, financial planning, and resource coordination.
* Care Quality & Standards
Ensure all care provided meets high-quality standards and is tailored to the individual needs of residents, in line with current legislation and best practices.
* Team Management & Development
Lead, support, and inspire a team of care professionals. Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and staff development to build a motivated, skilled workforce.
* Regulatory Compliance
Maintain full compliance with relevant legislation, including health and safety regulations and Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards. Prepare for and manage inspections as required.
* Safeguarding & Safety
Promote a culture of safeguarding and ensure the safety and well-being of residents and staff at all times.
* Strategic Contribution
Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to the ongoing development and long-term vision of the service.
* Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with residents, their families, external agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure transparent and collaborative care delivery.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a care setting
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* In-depth knowledge of relevant care regulations and CQC standards
* Experience using PCS (Person Centred Software) is essential
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational abilities
* Commitment to delivering person-centred, high-quality care
