Your Role: As Cyber Security Project Lead you will deliver a variety of cybersecurity initiatives aligned with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, while managing documentation such as plans and reports. The successful candidate will oversee risk assessments, asset inventories, and ensure “secure by design” principles are embedded across IT and business projects, acting as a key point of expertise for cybersecurity solutions. Responsibilities include implementing security controls, conducting threat modelling and architecture reviews, and defining secure configurations and standards. The role also ensures systems include robust monitoring, detection, incident response, and recovery capabilities, while supporting overall resilience. Additionally, as the Cyber Security Lead you will contribute to Change Advisory Board decisions, assessing changes from a cybersecurity perspective and recommending appropriate controls. Due to the nature of working environment this role will require you to be fully office based. Essential Experience: The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field, along with recognised certifications such as CISSP, CISM, and a project management qualification. Additional industry certifications are desirable but not essential. You will bring proven experience managing cybersecurity projects, with strong knowledge of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, project management methodologies, and cloud security best practices. A solid understanding of Azure architecture, networking, and identity management is required, along with familiarity with cybersecurity technologies and risk management. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are key, as is experience in regulated industries and knowledge of compliance standards such as GDPR, NIS CAF, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001.
