Our client is seeking an experienced Cylindrical / Surface Grinder to join our precision engineering team. The role involves operating Cylindrical and surface grinding machines to achieve high-precision finishes on metal components used in various industries, ensuring adherence to stringent quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Machine Operation: Set up and operate cylindrical and surface grinding machines to grind metal parts to precise dimensions and finishes.
* Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
* Precision Grinding: Perform grinding operations on various materials, maintaining tight tolerances.
* Quality Assurance: Familiarity with inspecting ground components using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications is desired but not essential.
* Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on grinding equipment.
* Process Optimisation: Identify and suggest improvements to enhance grinding efficiency and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Cylindrical and surface grinding.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in setting up and operating cylindrical and surface grinding machines and understanding grinding principles.
* Attention to Detail: Strong focus on achieving high-precision finishes and maintaining tight tolerances.
