Job Description
Are you a highly creative and practical Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher with a specialism in Graphics, capable of inspiring innovative design and practical skills? A leading Independent school in Redbridge is seeking a dynamic, part-time temporary D&T Teacher for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to foster problem-solving skills, design thinking, and practical expertise in students.
What you'll be doing:
* You'll be designing and delivering engaging D&T lessons with a focus on Graphics, encompassing 2D and 3D design, CAD/CAM, and material properties across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.
* It's about encouraging creativity, active experimentation, and the development of technical skills in a well-equipped workshop environment.
* You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and organised classroom and workshop, and inspiring students to explore the world of design.
What we're looking for:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Design & Technology (Graphics).
* Proven experience teaching D&T effectively at Key Stages 3 and 4, with A-level experience being an advantage.
* Strong practical skills in graphics design and a broad knowledge of design principles and processes.
* Excellent communication skills, strong classroom management, and a genuine ability to inspire innovation and technical proficiency.
