Vehicle Safety Checks: Conducting daily and weekly vehicle checks to ensure the minibus is roadworthy, has sufficient fuel, and is clean and tidy. Safeguarding & Welfare: Adhering to all school policies related to health, safety, and safeguarding, ensuring the comfort and welfare of all passengers. Flexible Hours: This is a part-time position, perfect for those seeking work during term-time with a consistent schedule. What We're Looking For: Valid D1 Driving Licence (unrestricted): Essential for driving a minibus with 9-16 passenger seats. Clean Driving Record: A strong commitment to road safety. Experience: Previous experience driving minibuses or similar vehicles, ideally in a school or passenger transport setting. Enhanced DBS Check: You must be willing to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (or already hold one on the Update Service). Reliable & Punctual: A strong work ethic and excellent time management. Child-Friendly Demeanour: A patient, approachable, and responsible attitude towards children. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to interact effectively with pupils, staff, and parents. Knowledge of Blackburn and surrounding areas.
