Job Description
We are looking for a Damp and Mould Operative to join our client. This role focuses on identifying, treating, and resolving damp and mould issues within residential council properties. If you have strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and experience in property maintenance or mould treatment, we’d like to hear from you.
Role and Responsibilities
* Carry out inspections to diagnose the root causes of damp and mould (e.g., condensation, leaks).
* Clean, wash, and treat affected surfaces using specialist chemical and non-chemical products.
* Remove defective decoration and complete minor repairs such as painting and decorating.
* Produce clear and accurate reports, including before-and-after photographs.
* Maintain accurate records of all work completed.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and current housing requirements, including Awaab’s Law.
* Provide excellent customer service, offering guidance and advice to tenants, leaseholders, and residents.
Requirements
* Experience in property maintenance, damp/mould treatment, or a similar role.
* Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
* Ability to work independently and confidently within residents’ homes.
