Job Description

A well-regarded, community-focused housing provider is seeking two Damp & Mould Surveyors to strengthen its property team in Wiltshire. The organisation is committed to improving the quality, safety, and sustainability of its housing stock and to ensuring residents live in homes free from damp and mould-related issues. Role Overview These roles are central to the organisation’s drive to proactively address damp and mould across its homes. You will carry out in-depth investigations, liaise with tenants, and coordinate remedial works to ensure properties remain safe, healthy, and compliant. Key Responsibilities Undertake thorough surveys of properties with reported damp, mould, and condensation concerns. Diagnose causes, whether structural, lifestyle, or environmental, and propose solutions. Create detailed reports and scopes of work for necessary repairs or interventions. Communicate clearly and empathetically with residents, providing advice and updates. Work with contractors and internal teams to ensure high-quality, timely resolution of issues. Monitor completed works for quality and effectiveness. Support the organisation’s wider property and compliance strategies. Candidate Requirements Experience in damp and mould diagnosis and remediation, ideally in a residential or social housing context. Sound technical understanding of housing construction, moisture behaviour, and ventilation. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with a resident-focused mindset.
