Damp and Mould Surveyor
Location: Bristol (with agile working)
Salary: £48,000 per annum (equivalent daily rate)
Contract: Temporary (3 months) – 37 hours per week
Headcount: 1
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Damp, Mould and Condensation Surveyor for a 3-month temporary assignment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a building professional with strong technical expertise and excellent customer service skills to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and manage multiple technical building projects with a focus on damp, mould and condensation.
*
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, Construction Design Management, and housing standards.
*
Conduct property inspections, identify risks (including asbestos), and recommend appropriate remedial works.
*
Support asset management, response repairs, empty homes, and programmed works.
*
Liaise effectively with residents and stakeholders, providing excellent customer service.
*
Use strong organisational skills to ensure work is prioritised and delivered on time.
Essential:
*
Proven track record in managing multiple technical building projects.
*
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, CDM, and relevant housing compliance legislation.
*
Understanding of HHSRS risks.
*
Knowledge of Schedule of Rates.
*
Formal building qualification (e.g., RICS accredited, BSc, HNC, HND).
*
Confident IT user (Microsoft Office, Outlook).
*
Full, clean driving licence.
*
Experience with asbestos identification.
Desirable:
*
Additional specialist qualifications (e.g., CSTDB, fire safety).
*
Health & Safety certifications (IOSH, NCRQ, etc.).
*
Experience in Planned Works or Void Delivery within social housing.
