Job Description
The Role
Are you an experienced Damp Surveyor ready to take your career to new heights?
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Damp Surveyor to carry out professional surveys, identify moisture-related issues, and recommend effective remedial treatments in both residential and commercial properties.
Situated in the prestigious Parsons Green, London, we offer a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including landmark and historic buildings.

Minimum Requirements:
* Must reside within 1-hour travel from Fulham, SW London area.
* A full, clean driving license and willingness to travel across London.
* More than 4 years of extensive experience in damp surveying and property inspection.
* Experience diagnosing rising, penetrating, and condensation damp is essential.
* Proven experience working with period, listed, or heritage properties preferred.
* PCA qualification (additional on-site training provided).
* A deep understanding of building pathology, construction, and defect diagnosis.
* Must have a good understanding of the damp and mould industry, be able to identify different types of damp and present solutions.
* Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, building standards, and health & safety procedures.
* Experience using moisture testing equipment, hygrometers, and thermal imaging cameras (beneficial).
* High attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* In this role, you'll be more than just a surveyor; you'll be a problem-solver and a trusted advisor to our clients.
* Your expertise in identifying and resolving damp issues will not only restore properties but also preserve the integrity of London's architectural heritage.
* Conduct detailed damp, mould, and condensation surveys across residential and commercial properties.
* Identify and diagnose the causes of moisture ingress, such as rising damp, penetrating damp, condensation, and structural defects.
* Use moisture meters and other diagnostic tools to record accurate on-site data.
* Prepare comprehensive written reports detailing findings, photographs, and recommended remedial works.
* Advise clients on the most effective remedial treatments and long-term prevention methods.
* Work collaboratively with our in-house teams, including roofers, drainage experts, and restoration specialists, to develop and implement effective solutions.
* Liaise with the office, engineers, and field teams to ensure clear handovers and job coordination.
* Support quotation preparation and ensure survey findings are captured within the CRM system.
* Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and ensure compliance with EPS’s internal procedures.
* Maintain excellent customer service standards through clear communication and professional conduct.
* Represent EPS with integrity, craftsmanship, and respect in all customer interactions.
* From time to time, carry out timber inspections to identify rot, woodworm, or other related issues.

What We Offer:
Fixed Hours with Overtime Options: Work from 8 am-5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Competitive Salary: £40 000 – £50 000 per annum (depending on experience), with additional earning potential through commissions.
