Dance Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Start Date: January
Contract: Full-Time, Maternity Cover
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Dance Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Chorley from January on a full-time maternity cover contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and engage students in a supportive and creative environment, delivering high-quality dance lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
About the Role:
As a key member of the Performing Arts department, you will:
Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive dance lessons.
Prepare students for assessments, performances, and external qualifications (where applicable).
Contribute to extracurricular activities such as dance clubs, school productions, and showcases.
Promote a love of dance and creativity within the school community.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A specialism in Dance or a related performing arts subject.
Experience teaching Dance at secondary level.
A passion for engaging students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
