Freelance Data Cabling Engineer
Location: London (Multiple Locations)
Duration: Multiple Projects – long term work
Rate: £200 to £220 per day
An opportunity has opened for a Freelance Data Cabling Engineer to help out an installation and networking company based in London. The company are coming up to their busy period and are looking for a flexible contractor or freelancer to help out on a few cabling, splicing and installation projects. All candidates will be required to pass a DBS check.
Immediate starts are available.
Data Cabling Engineer Key Skills:
* Experience as a data cable engineer or similar
* Experience of CAT5, CAT6 installation and termination
* Fibre splicing experience
* Ribbon fibre work would be a bonus
* Must hold an ECS card
* IPAF or PASMA certification would be a bonus but not essential
* Own tools and must have your own transport
Data Cabling Engineer Responsibilities:
* Installation and termination of CAT5 and CAT6 cables at various locations
* Attending sites and ensuring top quality of work
* Performing fibre splicing
* Checking your own work and inspecting
* Troubleshooting and repairing any faults
* Fluke testing
