My client is looking for a Data Centre Technician to join a fast-growing, forward-thinking tech team delivering high-impact services across multiple UK data centre sites.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with early experience in data centre operations or IT support, who's looking for genuine progression, in-depth training, and the chance to work with advanced technologies in a real-world environment.
What you'll be doing
Supporting the deployment and ongoing operation of high-availability infrastructure
Managing and maintaining customer racks, structured cabling, and power allocation
Handling hardware installs, moves, replacements, and decommissions ("lift and shift")
Logging and tracking work through ticketing systems and internal tools
Helping to maintain a clean, secure, and client-ready environment on the data centre floor
Participating in a 24/7 shift rota, with occasional travel between regional data centre sites
What you'll bring
1+ year of hands-on experience in data centre, IT infrastructure, or hardware support
Knowledge of structured cabling, racking, and basic network concepts
Ability to troubleshoot, document tasks clearly, and follow established processes
A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a customer-first approach
A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to other local sites
