Job Description
Job Title: Factory Data Input Officers x2
Duration: 12 months (with a 6-month review)
Location: East Cowes facilities (office-based with some potential hybrid working)
Standard Hours: 37 hours/week
Shift Pattern:
Monday–Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
Rate: £13.00 – £13.50 per hour (PAYE, depending on experience)
Role Purpose
Support the Operations team by accurately allocating standard costs across production processes.
Mainly office-based but includes regular factory visits.
Training provided, but candidates need to be confident, highly organized, and experienced with data management (Excel, databases, etc.).
Key Responsibilities
Allocate standard hours to production job cards daily; report discrepancies.
Prepare daily, weekly, monthly reports on standard hours coverage and exceptions.
Generate data and charts for disruption/diversion reporting per Value Stream.
Assist in training and supporting team leaders in new processes.
Person Specification
Ideal candidates will:
Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Interpret manufacturing and procurement reports effectively.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
Understand conversion costs and hours management.
Learn new systems and processes quickly.
Be proactive in identifying and implementing improvements.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, data manipulation).
Good standard of education in Maths and English (minimum grade 4 GCSE or equivalent preferred).
Desirable:
Experience in manufacturing or procurement environments.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., LN) and job card processesBefore You Apply
