Electrical Day Shift Engineer

Location: City of London
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – Days Only
Hours: 7:00am – 6:00pm (11-hour shifts)
Overtime: Available

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Day Shift Engineer to join a well-established and highly regarded organisation operating within a prestigious commercial environment in the City of London.

You will work as part of a professional engineering team responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of electrical building services across a high-profile site.

The Role

As an Electrical Day Shift Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.

  * Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults.

  * Ensuring electrical systems and equipment are maintained to a high standard.

  * Responding to maintenance requests and breakdowns.

  * Completing routine inspections and testing.

  * Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.

  * Supporting the wider engineering and facilities team.

  * Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with relevant procedures and regulations.

  * Working proactively to identify potential issues before they become major faults.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  * A recognised electrical qualification such as City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.

  * Previous experience working within a commercial building services or facilities maintenance environment.

  * Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills.

  * A good understanding of health & safety requirements.

  * The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team.

  * A professional and proactive approach to maintenance.

  * Good communication and customer service skills.
