Pay: £12.25 per hour (temp), £12.65 per hour for full-time permanent
Hours: 10–12 hour shifts, 4 days per week (Monday–Saturday)
Start Time: 5:00 am
Overtime: Sunday optional
About the Role:
We’re currently recruiting 3.5T Delivery Drivers to join a busy delivery operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, staying active, and providing excellent customer service. You’ll be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently, ensuring customers receive their products on time, every time.
This is a temporary position with the potential to become full-time permanent, at which point the pay rate increases to £12.65 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
* Start your shift at 5:00 am, loading the vehicle and preparing for deliveries.
* Deliver 15–25 drops per day (depending on location).
* Handle and deliver heavy goods safely, including manual lifting and handling.
* Use handheld devices for route navigation and proof of delivery.
* Provide excellent customer service at every doorstep.
* Ensure vehicle is maintained and checks are carried out before and after shifts.
* Complete an alcohol test every morning (zero alcohol policy in place).
Requirements:
* Must be over 21 years old.
* Full UK driving licence (manual) with entitlement to drive 3.5T vehicles.
* Minimum of 12 months driving experience.
* Must be able to pass a DBS check before starting.
* Previous delivery or multi-drop experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy items safely.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* Reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
