THE ROLE:DELIVERY DRIVER
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently from the warehouse to customers at businesses. You will play a vital role in ensuring clients receive their orders on time, every time, and that each delivery upholds standards of professionalism and courtesy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Pick up and transport goods from the client’s facilities, to the customer locations, adhering to established routes and schedules.
* Loading and unload[ng items carefully, ensuring packages are secure and protected during transit.
* Navigating using GPS devices, traffic updates, and route planning to optimise delivery times and avoid delays.
* Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding estimated arrival times, any unexpected delays, and special delivery instructions.
* Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, receipts, mileage, and fuel usage.
* Demonstrate excellent customer service by greeting customers with respect, handling queries, and managing any concerns professionally.
* Follow all safety and traffic regulations and uphold the company’s commitment to safe driving practices.
* Keep delivery vehicles clean and presentable, both inside and out.

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES
* A valid UK driver’s licence (specific class may be required depending on vehicle type).
* Clean driving record with no major infractions/ zero points
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Good physical condition—able to lift and carry parcels and packages.
* Polite, professional communication style.
* Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks (training provided as needed).
* Previous experience in delivery or logistics is an asset but not required.
