Job Description

Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for forecasting and supply chain optimisation? We are seeking a dynamic Demand Planner to join a team at a Head Office in Plymouth as part of an ongoing expansion.

About the Role

As a Demand Planner, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring stock availability and supporting promotional activity through accurate forecasting and effective replenishment. You’ll deliver actionable insights, maintain system accuracy and help shape supply chain decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Forecast product demand to ensure optimal stock levels.

  * Design and build dashboards within RELEX for clear, actionable insights.

  * Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify trends, issue and opportunities, providing recommendations.

  * Review and analyse demand patterns, including promotions.

  * Act as super user of the AI Forecasting & Replenishment system, implementing and testing changes that impact model outputs.

  * Investigate anomalies where actual sales deviate from forecasts and identify root causes.

  * Manage ordering exceptions and maintain efficient ordering schedules.

  * Ensure accurate promotional allocations at store level and liaise with stock controllers.

  * Collaborate closely with buying teams on product assortment and forecast exceptions.

Person Specification

  * Experience in demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain within retail or FMCG.

  * Strong analytical skills, able to interpret complex data and identify trends.

  * Experience with forecasting/replenishment systems desirable.

  * Proficient in Excel; familiarity with BI/analytics tools advantageous.

  * Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  * Commercially aware with confident communication skills.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45 – 17:30
