We are recruiting a Deputy Catering Manager to join our client in Horncastle on a Temporary basis for Maternity cover.

As Deputy Catering Manager, your day-to-day duties will involve:
- Starting the day by checking over stock levels, speaking to suppliers and ordering stock
- Supervising the team of Catering Staff
- Preparing dishes as per the rotational menu and agreed recipes
- Working on the frontline, serving nutritious and balanced school meals over the lunchtime period
- Stock Control, speaking to suppliers
- Following Health & Safety and Food Hygiene requirements (the school are pleased to hold a 5* Food Hygiene rating)
- Deputising in the absence of the Catering Manager
- And any other duties as reasonably required by the Catering Manager
You’ll be an excellent Deputy Catering Manager if you have a friendly and positive nature, excellent communication skills and an ability to remain highly organised and efficient under pressure.
Requirements:
- Food Hygiene qualification at Level 3
- A background in Catering within a high-volume environment such as education, care or functions
- A keen eye for detail
- An ability to work within H&S guidelines

Hours of work:
Monday to Thursday 07:30-15:30
Friday 07:30-15:00
(there is some flexibility available on this for the right candidate)
Working over 40 weeks of the year.
Rate of pay is £13.71 - £14.88 depending on experience.
The Deputy Catering Manager role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Check and References.
