Deputy Manager – 4-Bed Children’s Home (EBD)
Location: Bristol
Salary: £40,000 to £42,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Are you an experienced and passionate leader in children's residential care? Do you have a genuine commitment to improving the lives of young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)? If so, we want to hear from you!
Our client is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join their well-established 4-bed children’s home supporting young people with EBD. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Registered Manager in leading and developing the team to deliver outstanding care
* Ensure the home meets all regulatory standards and maintains a safe, nurturing environment
* Contribute to care planning and behaviour management strategies
* Provide direct support to young people, promoting independence and emotional wellbeing
* Support staff development through supervision, training, and mentoring
Requirements:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
* Ideally working towards or holding Level 5 in Leadership and Management – desirable
* Previous experience working in a children’s residential setting, preferably in a leadership role
* Strong understanding of EBD and trauma-informed practice
* A full UK driving licence – essential
