We’re currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a 3-bed children’s residential home in Burton on Trent (Staffordshire). This is a full-time, permanent position offering £31,000 - £35,000 per annum, with flexible 8-hour shifts.

About the Role
We are currently recruiting a Deputy Manager for a 3-bed children’s residential home in Coalville. The home provides high-quality care and support to children and young people, helping them build strong foundations for a successful future.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader in children’s services to join a dedicated team committed to delivering excellence in care.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a compassionate and driven individual with a proven track record in residential childcare. You’ll be confident in leading teams, managing care plans, and ensuring compliance with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and supervise support staff to deliver outstanding care
· Ensure each young person is supported in line with their placement plan
· Promote a safe, nurturing environment with high expectations
· Collaborate with families, professionals, and external partners
· Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings
· Manage staffing levels, budgets, and conduct in line with policy
· Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards
· Contribute to service development and attend management meetings
Person Specification
· Level 3, 4, or 5 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
· Minimum 1 year’s supervisory experience in a children’s residential setting
· Valid UK Driving Licence (essential)
· Strong understanding of safeguarding and childcare legislation
· Ability to manage challenging behaviour and work therapeutically
· Flexibility to work between 07:30 and 11:00 PM
