An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Facilities Manager to support the Facilities Manager in overseeing a portfolio of schools across Bristol.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality facilities management services in line with contract agreements. You will also work closely with Premises Managers and the Maintenance Supervisor.
The role will involve management, coordination, and implementation of all site-based technical works, including maintenance activities, project delivery, and compliance.
Duties will inculde:
Oversee minor building works on-site in line with Building Regulations and standards.
Directly manage Premises Managers in their day-to-day operations.
Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders through regular communication and formal meetings.
Play a key role in ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation and supporting systems, working closely with relevant safety representatives.
Manage mechanical and electrical maintenance, statutory testing, building fabric repairs, asset upkeep, utilities, ICT infrastructure, and site plant.
Provide support in the delivery and management of soft services where needed.
Conduct audits to ensure best practices are met and services are delivered to expected standards.
Review and assist with costing of change notices.
Candidates will have:
Proven experience in facilities or building maintenance management
Strong background in Hard FM service delivery
Qualified in building services, mechanical/electrical maintenance, or similar field
Demonstrated leadership and team management
Excellent organisational, communication, and client relationship skills
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a proactive approach
Familiar with Quality Management Systems and compliance processes
Driving licence
