Job Description
Hackney Council is recruiting a Deputy Head of Service and Principal Therapy Lead (Adults).
This is a senior interim role (3-6 months, with potential to extend) leading key therapy services across adult social care.
Rate: £400-£450 per day
Hybrid working available
Key Responsibilities:
Lead operational delivery of Occupational Therapy, Sensory, Adaptations and Telecare services
Ensure high-quality, person-centred support focused on independence and wellbeing
Manage service budgets and support cost-effective use of adult social care resources
Provide leadership that supports staff development and performance
Collaborate with partners across health, care and the voluntary sector
Contribute to strategic planning, inspections, and service improvement
Requirements:
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
Proven leadership in adult social care
Strong operational and budget management experience
Understanding of legislation, safeguarding, and best practice in OT
Enhanced DBS (can be arranged)
