An award-winning and forward-thinking Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join the leadership team at one of its thriving Sixth Form centres in Enfield. The Role
The Deputy Headteacher will work closely with the Head of Sixth Form and wider leadership team to ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and outcomes across the Sixth Form. The role includes strategic oversight of curriculum delivery, pastoral care, and student progress, with a strong focus on preparing students for university, apprenticeships, and future employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive academic excellence through effective leadership of teaching and learning.
Lead on curriculum development, quality assurance, and performance tracking.
Foster a high-achieving, inclusive, and aspirational culture across the Sixth Form.
Support the wellbeing, personal development, and progression of all students.
Line manage and support staff to achieve their professional best.
Contribute to whole-school leadership as part of the senior team.
Person Specification – The ideal candidate will have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and substantial experience in the post-16 sector.
A strong record of senior leadership, ideally at Assistant or Deputy Head level.
Excellent knowledge of sixth form curriculum pathways and post-18 progression routes.
A track record of improving outcomes for students in a high-performing setting.
Outstanding interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.
A strategic mindset with the ability to innovate and drive improvement.
