Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Deputy Children's Home Manager to join a well-established, family-oriented care provider. As Deputy Children's Home Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and mentoring your team, stepping into the manager’s role in their absence, and making a positive impact on the lives of the children in your care. This full-time permanent role offers a salary range of £34,590 - £36,670 and benefits. They would consider team leaders and senior level candidates as well. You will be responsible for: Oversee day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring high standards of care are maintained. Lead by example, providing guidance and support to your team. Act as the point of contact in the manager’s absence, ensuring the smooth running of the home. Foster a positive environment for children with complex needs and challenging behaviour. Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing regular feedback and support. Assist with safeguarding and ensuring all regulatory standards are met. What we are looking for: Previously worked as a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, Childcare Manager, Care Manager, Home Manager or in a similar role. Knowledge of emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD) and complex / challenging behaviours. NVQ Level 3 or above in Children and Young People (or equivalent). A strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and safeguarding. A current UK Driving Licence.
