JM Workforce Services is supporting a Children's Social Care provider, led by an experienced and respected Directorship and Responsible Individual (RI), in recruiting a Deputy Manager for a residential children’s home in Derby and Derbyshire. Role Overview: We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in leading a residential children’s home. The Deputy Manager will assist in the day-to-day management, ensuring the highest standards of care and providing leadership to the staff team. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career and contribute to creating a positive environment for children and young people. Please be aware you must have the Right to Work in the UK. Responsibilities: * Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the residential children’s home. * Support the Registered Manager in leading and managing the staff team, providing supervision, guidance, and training. * Assist with the development and implementation of individual care plans and behaviour management strategies for each child. * Foster positive relationships with children, families, external agencies, and professionals involved in their care. * Ensure compliance with relevant safeguarding policies and procedures. * Contribute to the budget management, resource allocation, and administrative tasks. * Help promote an inclusive, safe, and nurturing environment for the children and young people in the home. * Assist in monitoring and evaluating the quality of service delivery, and work with the Registered Manager to implement any necessary improvements. Requirements: * Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a children's residential care setting. * Familiarity with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding procedures, and best practices in childcare. * Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Level 4, with a commitment to working towards Level 5. * Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to support staff effectively. * A passion for safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children and young people. * Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
