We’re looking for a Deputy Manager to help lead and support our dual-registered children’s homes, where the focus is always on delivering high-quality care, safeguarding, and giving Looked After Children the best possible start in life.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of two dual-registered homes. You’ll help foster a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children and young people can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in managing care standards, safety, and compliance across both homes.
* Support children’s care planning, attend professional meetings, and maintain accurate records.
* Implement recommendations from Ofsted and Regulation 44 visits.
* Supervise and support staff to deliver excellent care and uphold safeguarding standards.
* Work collaboratively to create and maintain effective staff rotas.
* Maintain confidentiality and contribute to team development through supervisions and appraisals.
What We're Looking For
* Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) – essential
* Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health & Social Care or Leadership in Residential Childcare
* At least 1 year of management experience and 2 years working in a children’s residential setting
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities
* Full UK driving licence
* Enhanced DBS required (to be completed upon appointment)
