Full job description Job Title: Deputy Manager Location: Bradford Full Time: Average of 37.5 Hours on a weekly Rota Salary: £35,000 average. What will you be doing: As Deputy Manager, the post holder will assist the Registered Manager in the leadership and management of the home and deputise in their absence. The role will also involve all aspects of staff management including supervising staff, rotas, performance management and appraisals. The deputy will also take the lead with report writing, care plans, risk assessments and leading professional and multi-agency meetings. The role of the deputy is heavily administrative, so a high level of administrative skills is essential. Under supervision, the Deputy will receive training and gain first-hand practical experience of doing most aspects of the job of a Registered Manager as part of continuing professional development. The core purposes of the role is to assist the Registered Manager in providing an emotionally secure, consistent, warm, supportive, and caring environment for the young people and to encourage their social, physical, emotional intellectual and moral development so that they may realise their own potential. Requirements: * Must have achieved a Level 3/4 Diploma in Children’s & Young People’s workforce or equivalent (essential) * A good level of IT & admin skills are essential * Ability to interact with a range of people/young people * To be able to provide consistency of care and support to the young people * Experience working with children who may display challenging behaviour * Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings, weekends & bank holiday’s * Full UK driving licence is essential * Candidates must be over 21 to meet the industry regulations Benefits: * A competitive salary of £35,000 per year, depending on qualifications, * Future Care Homes will enrol & fully fund towards a level 5 diploma in leadership & management * 210 hours annual leave per year * Bank holiday’s worked paid at an enhanced rate of time + ½ * Opportunity to pick up extra shifts & overtime paid at enhanced rates * Team Building days * Company pension scheme * Free parking * Casual dress code * Food available whilst on shift & access to our discretionary food bank * The opportunity to grow and progress your career, we are expanding quickly * Monthly recognition awards * Comprehensive induction & ongoing training & support Experience: * Support: 2 years (preferred) * Supervising: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Level 3/4 in Childrens residential care (essential) * Driving Licence (essential) Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £34,954.00-£37,412.00 per year Benefits: * Company pension Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * Night shift * Weekend availability Work Location: In person
