Position: Deputy Manager
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 per annum
Location: Blackburn
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days over a 7-day period
About the Role:
We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager to join our family-run care home in Blackburn. The role is designed to support the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care, and leading a team dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents.
The Deputy Manager will play a pivotal role in supervising staff, writing and reviewing care plans, overseeing training, and ensuring the smooth operation of the home. You’ll also deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, ensuring continued excellent care and maintaining a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day leadership and management of the care home.
*
Ensure care plans are written and signed off in line with the needs of each resident.
*
Lead and support the staff team to ensure a high standard of care is consistently provided.
*
Oversee staff supervision, appraisals, and training to ensure staff are equipped with the necessary skills.
*
Ensure all operational documentation and care records are up to date and meet service standards.
*
Deputise for the Registered Manager as required.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar supervisory or management role within a residential care home setting.
*
A qualification in management or a related field (e.g., Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care, supervisory qualification).
*
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
*
Experience with rota planning and ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
*
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
*
Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to providing person-centred care.
