Deputy Manager – Children’s Home
Location: Virginia Water
Salary: £35,000 per annum + Benefits
Service Type: EBD Children’s Home
A reputable and established residential children’s services provider is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and driven Deputy Manager to help co-manage a specialist EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Children’s Home in Virginia Water.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager or a Senior/Team Leader ready to take the next step in their career and make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting or a Team Leader with strong leadership experience.
Sound knowledge of Ofsted standards and Children’s Homes Regulations.
A passion for supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs.
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential; Level 5 or willingness to work towards it is desirable.
Key Responsibilities of the Deputy Manager:
Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.
Promote a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children and young people.
Lead and supervise a team of residential support workers, including rota planning and staff development.
Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
Ensure the home remains compliant with Ofsted regulations and maintains high-quality care standards.
Participate in inspections, audits, and reviews.
Liaise with professionals, families, and external agencies to support each young person’s care journey.
Take on the lead role in the absence of the Registered Manager.
