Deputy Manager (Logistic Support Services)

We are seeking a Deputy Manager (Logistic Support Services) to oversee and manage all operations within our Logistic Support Unit at Merville Barracks, ensuring high standards of service delivery, safety, and client satisfaction.
This role is ideal for ex-forces applicants or those familiar with military base operations.
Key Details
Salary: £28,800 - £30,800 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Interviews: October 9th & 14th, 2025
Core Responsibilities
Leadership & Management: Lead and develop the Logistics team, managing performance, HR processes (e.g., PDRs, recruitment, absence) using Kronos, and deputizing for the Logistic Services Manager.
Service Delivery: Ensure all services meet SLA standards and KPIs using both FM Client and MOD IT operational systems. Act as the SME for FM Client's accounting systems (Planet, PFI, Kronos).
Safety & Compliance: Act as the primacy lead for Health & Safety in building D11, ensuring compliance with all policies, legislation, and MOD site rules (Zero Harm culture).
Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, MOD partners, and DIO, promoting the "Clients for Life" approach.
Financials: Manage budgets, stock/cash controls, and contribute to achieving site gross margin targets.
Essential Requirements
Proven management experience in logistics, supply management, or warehouse distribution.
Strong leadership and people management skills (including HR processes).
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Welfare management.
Excellent numerical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
