Deputy Residential Manager-£31k-Chesterfield Salary: £15 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Pattern: Two 12-hour shifts (07:30 – 19:30) working on the floor Two supernumerary 8-hour shifts The home is a warm, welcoming, and highly regarded care facility in Chesterfield, known for its exceptional standards of care and compassionate approach. Job Summary As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Home Manager in the day-to-day operations of the care home. You will ensure high-quality care is delivered to residents while leading and motivating the care team. This role requires a balance of hands-on care and managerial responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Provide strong leadership and guidance to care staff, ensuring best practices in person-centred care. Support the Home Manager in maintaining compliance with CQC regulations and care standards. Conduct staff training, supervisions, and appraisals to promote professional development. Assist in care planning, risk assessments, and medication management. Ensure residents receive compassionate and dignified care tailored to their individual needs. Handle administrative duties, including rota management and audits. Act as a point of contact for residents, families, and external professionals. Participate in recruitment and onboarding of new staff members. Requirements Experience in a senior care role, preferably within a care home setting. NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care Strong leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and health & safety regulations. Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays when required.
