Job Description

Are you a creative, technically minded individual with a passion for supporting young people in a specialist education environment? Do you have experience in computing, digital graphics or IT—and the resilience to work with students who face significant social, emotional, and mental health challenges? We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant with a strong background or interest in computing and digital graphics to join a dedicated SEN school team. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require a more personalised, structured approach to learning. Role Responsibilities: Support teaching staff in the delivery of IT and digital graphics-based lessons, including software use, digital design, and basic coding Provide 1:1 and small group support to students, helping them stay engaged and achieve their learning goals Use your technical skills to assist with practical projects and creative tasks, offering guidance where needed Help manage behaviour and emotional regulation through consistent, supportive strategies Contribute to a safe, inclusive and inspiring classroom environment We’re Looking For Someone Who: Has experience or qualifications in computing, digital graphics, IT support, or a similar field Shows a calm, confident, and patient approach to working with young people with SEMH and SEN needs Can demonstrate strong communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting learning Is creative, adaptable and confident using a range of digital tools and platforms Brings energy and commitment to a team-oriented, student-first environment Has their own car and driving licence ✅ What’s On Offer: £26,270 per annum, with full salary paid over school holidays A full-time, permanent position within a well-resourced SEN setting Opportunities for continued professional development and internal progression A highly rewarding role where no two days are the same, and every success is meaningful If you're looking for a new challenge where you can combine your digital skills with a desire to help young people succeed against the odds—this is the opportunity for you.
